Lily Channell

Early Years Teacher – English (Coronation Circle)

Ms. Lily Channell is delighted to be a part of the team at Malvern College Pre-School. She has been teaching in international kindergartens and schools across the UK, Thailand, and Hong Kong since 2020.

Ms. Channell originally graduated with a BA in Business and Management before pursuing a PGCE in Early Years Teaching, gaining full UK QTS status via the assessment-only route. She has completed extensive Continuous Professional Development (CPD), including Little Wandle phonics, Trinity College London certification in teaching English courses, and a wide array of training in early years pedagogies, classroom management, mathematics, and literacy.

For Ms. Channell, teaching in the Early Years is extremely fulfilling, rewarding, and fascinating. She continuously expands her knowledge in Early Years practice by engaging with educational podcasts and the latest research, and she looks forward to further developing her pedagogical skills through ongoing study and training. She is also deeply interested in child development, play therapy, educational psychology, and wellbeing, actively incorporating these fields into her daily teaching practice. She looks forward to meeting the new cohort and welcoming both new and returning children and their families.

She is originally from England, UK and has lived in Hong Kong and Thailand for the past six years. She has forest school experience and loves to merge the outdoor with the indoor learning environment. Outside of her job, she loves to spend time with friends and family, explore local nature, do yoga, read, cook, and travel.

Agnes Chow

BA, M.Ed (ECE)

Early Years Playgroup Teacher (Coronation Circle)

Ms. Agnes is an experienced Kindergarten teacher with over ten years of teaching experience, specializing in phonics, playgroups, and the British EYFS curriculum. She completed her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Toronto and holds a Master of Education degree in Early Childhood Education from Hong Kong Baptist University.

Passionate about teaching children from diverse cultural backgrounds, Ms. Agnes is excited to be part of the Malvern Playgroup team at Malvern College Pre-School in Hong Kong. She looks forward to learning together with the children and getting to know families in person throughout this academic year.

Jessica Daswani

MA (Education – Early Years Teaching), BSc (Computer Science and Management), PGCE

Early Years Teacher – English (Coronation Circle)

Mrs. Jessica Daswani is thrilled to welcome families to Malvern College Pre-School Hong Kong. Raised in Barbados, she explored various career paths before finding her true passion in early childhood education. She is deeply committed to nurturing children’s growth, igniting their curiosity, and helping them build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Her teaching practice is backed by professional qualifications, including a PGCE and a Master’s degree in Early Years Teaching from the University of Sunderland in the UK. Bringing several years of international school experience, Mrs. Daswani has gained invaluable expertise in supporting children’s holistic development across all areas of learning. She looks forward to partnering with families to create a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive and flourish.

Katie Forsyth

BA (Hons) in Drama and Performance, PGDE (ECE)

Pre-Nursery Teacher – English (Coronation Circle)

Ms. Katie Forsyth comes from Scotland, UK. She studied Drama and Performance at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh before earning her PGDE in Early Childhood Education from The University of Hong Kong. She is currently furthering her studies with a Master’s degree in Education specializing in Special Educational Needs at Anglia Ruskin University in the UK.

A strong advocate for child-led learning, Ms. Katie believes that children learn best through play and curiosity-driven topics that celebrate each child’s uniqueness. She loves creating stimulating environments where young learners can safely explore, discover, and build confidence in their abilities. Understanding that adjusting to new teachers and routines takes time, Ms. Katie is dedicated to making school transitions smooth, positive, and enjoyable for every child and family.

Kreanne Reddy

BA (English and Psychology), PGCE

Pre-Nursery Teacher – English (Coronation Circle)

Ms. Kreanne Reddy was born and raised in South Africa, bringing a strong passion for learning and a deep appreciation for education to her teaching practice. Prior to embarking on her teaching career, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Psychology, which deepened her understanding of human behavior and enriched her communication skills. She went on to pursue higher studies at the University of Sunderland, obtaining her degree in Early Years Teaching to equip herself with the knowledge needed to nurture young minds.

Having lived in Hong Kong for the past four years, Ms. Kreanne continues to inspire and educate young learners. Her international background enables her to incorporate diverse cultural insights into her teaching and broaden her students’ perspectives. She looks forward to meeting families and becoming a warm, active part of the Malvern community.

Rehana

Early Years Playgroup Teacher (Coronation Circle)

Ms. Rehana is a qualified and registered Kindergarten teacher who has taught in various kindergartens across Hong Kong for the past ten years. She brings extensive experience working with the British EYFS curriculum and holds a special passion for teaching early years learners. At Malvern College Pre-School, she serves as the Playgroup teacher while also providing teacher cover support when needed throughout the week.

Firmly believing that strong relationships are the foundation of early education, Ms. Rehana is excited to embark on a fun, adventurous learning journey with children and their families.

Leisa Sowerby

BA, GradDip (Management Communication), iPGCE

Early Years Playgroup Teacher (Coronation Circle)

Ms. Leisa Sowerby was born in the UK and raised in New Zealand. She first moved to Hong Kong in 2012 to pursue a career in fitness, later spending time in Australia with family before discovering her true calling in supporting children’s developmental milestones. Returning to Hong Kong in 2019 to focus on early education, she holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Graduate Diploma in Management Communication, and an International Postgraduate Certificate in Education (iPGCE).

At the heart of Ms. Leisa’s teaching philosophy is a deep respect for each child as a “whole” individual. She focuses on recognizing the effort behind every attempt—whether big leaps or small steps—to foster natural curiosity and self-confidence. She strongly believes that partnering closely with families and the broader community opens vital doors for the next generation.

Mirjana Veskovic (Mira)

C(ECE)

Early Years Playgroup Teacher (Coronation Circle)

Ms. Mirjana Veskovic (Mira) is a qualified and registered Kindergarten teacher who has been teaching in Hong Kong for the past twenty years. She brings extensive experience working with the British EYFS curriculum, striving to build a magical classroom environment where art seamlessly meets play.

Deeply passionate about creative expression, Ms. Mira places a strong emphasis on art and storytelling, viewing them as essential tools to help young children process ideas, express themselves, and build confidence. She firmly believes that learning extends far beyond the classroom into every aspect of life, turning everyday moments into meaningful opportunities for growth and exploration.

Wong Laoshi

Pre-Nursery Teacher – Chinese (Coronation Circle)

Ms. Carolyn (Wong Laoshi) was born in Beijing and earned her Bachelor’s degree from Capital Normal University in Beijing. She later moved to Hong Kong, where she completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Education at The Education University of Hong Kong. She brings six years of teaching experience across both local and international educational settings, having worked with children of diverse ages and cultural backgrounds.

Firmly believing that every child is unique and brings individual strengths to the classroom, Ms. Carolyn is passionate about fostering a supportive and engaging atmosphere where young learners can thrive. She looks forward to welcoming families to the Malvern College Pre-School community and partnering with them to support their children’s growth and discovery.

Chan Laoshi

BEd, HD(ECE)

Early Years Teacher – Chinese (Coronation Circle)

Ms. Tina Chan (Chan Laoshi) serves as a Mandarin teacher at Malvern College Pre-School in Hong Kong, having been a valued member of the Malvern family since 2017. She brings over 20 years of early childhood education experience across China and Hong Kong, specializing in teaching Mandarin to young learners aged 1.5 to 6 years old in international school settings. She holds both a Higher Diploma and a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Studies.

Ms. Chan deeply aligns with Malvern’s educational philosophy, particularly its rich, diverse learning environments and strong emphasis on nature exploration. She looks forward to building close partnerships with families to support each child’s educational journey and well-being, helping them grow into healthy, happy, and fulfilled learners.

Hu Laoshi

Early Years Teacher – Chinese (Coronation Circle)

Ms. Mary (Hu Laoshi) is delighted to welcome families to the Malvern College Pre-School community. With nine years of experience in international school settings, she has supported young children across various developmental stages. She holds a Master of Education from The Education University of Hong Kong and a Postgraduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education from Hong Kong Baptist University—academic milestones that have reinforced her belief that children learn best through play, inquiry, and meaningful relationships.

Passionate about early childhood education, Hu Laoshi loves the vibrant energy, curiosity, and honesty that young learners bring to the classroom. She is dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing, and joyful environment where every child feels seen, heard, and valued, and she looks forward to partnering with both new and returning families on their children’s learning journey.

Lam Laoshi

Ms. Suki Lam (Lam Laoshi) serves as the Mandarin teacher for the Amur Leopard class. She holds a Bachelor of Education (Honours) in Early Childhood Education from The Education University of Hong Kong and brings over seven years of experience teaching Early Years classes, along with a deep passion for nurturing young learners and supporting their development.

Believing that every child is unique with individual learning needs, Lam Laoshi strives to create a warm, inclusive, and supportive environment where each child feels valued and cared for. She is dedicated to guiding children’s academic growth while fostering their overall well-being and helping them build happy, meaningful memories during this key stage of life. She looks forward to embarking on this exciting journey alongside families and getting to know each child better.

Zhang Laoshi

Pre-Nursery Teacher – Chinese (Coronation Circle)

Ms. Tina (Zhang Laoshi) studied Educational Management at South China Normal University and holds a professional qualification in Early Childhood Education. With over 10 years of teaching experience, she is passionate about following children’s curiosity and guiding them as they explore the world through play, art, stories, and outdoor adventures.

Believing that every child is capable and creative, Zhang Laoshi is dedicated to supporting young learners as they grow, learn, and have fun every day. She is delighted to be part of the Malvern College Pre-School family and looks forward to building wonderful memories together with all the children and their families.

Helen Cheng

Ms. Helen Cheng graduated in Melbourne, Australia, with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Design and later completed a Diploma in Early Childhood Education. During her time in Victoria, she gained experience across a variety of early childhood settings and childcare centres. After relocating back to Hong Kong, she served in an international kindergarten in multiple capacities, including Teacher Assistant, Playgroup Teacher, and Class Teacher.

With over 10 years of experience working within the EYFS curriculum, Ms. Helen is passionate about creating warm, engaging, and play-based learning environments where children feel safe, confident, and ready to explore. She is excited to start her first year at Malvern College Pre-School Hong Kong and looks forward to collaborating with the team and getting to know the families.

Jackie Chua

Teaching Assistant (Coronation Circle)

Ms. Jackie Chua (Ms. Jackie) is excited to welcome both new and returning families to the Malvern College Pre-School community. She pursued her Bachelor of Education (Teaching) with a specialization in Early Childhood Education in New Zealand, a period during which her passion for working with young learners truly flourished.

Throughout her studies and professional career, Ms. Jackie has gained hands-on experience supporting children across diverse age groups—from infancy through to pre-schoolers—in both kindergarten and day care settings. She is thrilled to be part of the classroom team and looks forward to supporting every child on their learning journey.

Michelle Hung

Ms. Michelle Hung holds a Higher Diploma in Early Childhood Education from Yew Chung College of Early Childhood Education and a Master of Arts in Positive Psychology in Education from The Education University of Hong Kong. Kind, patient, and deeply passionate about early childhood education, she loves supporting young learners across all age groups to foster their growth and development.

She is thrilled to join the Malvern College Pre-School Hong Kong community and looks forward to building warm, meaningful connections with both new and returning families as they embark on an exciting educational journey together.

Chloe Leung

Ms. Chloe Leung completed her Bachelor of Early Childhood Education at Hong Kong Baptist University. During her studies, she gained hands-on experience working with children of various age groups across local kindergartens. Since graduating, she has worked in an international kindergarten setting for nearly six years.

Believing that every child learns in their own way and at their own pace, Ms. Chloe places great value on building strong, positive relationships with her students as the foundation for their learning and growth. She is excited to welcome both new and returning families to Malvern College Pre-School Hong Kong.

Emily Li

Teaching Assistant (Coronation Circle)

Ms. Emily Li holds a Higher Diploma in Early Childhood Education from Yew Chung College of Early Childhood Education. Prior to joining Malvern College Pre-School, she worked as a pre-nursery and kindergarten teacher, gaining valuable classroom experience that gave her strong confidence in guiding young learners. Now entering her second year with the school, she takes great joy in her profession and in connecting with children and families from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Ms. Emily believes in staying humble and open to new opportunities and experiences. In her teaching, she encourages children to approach everyday challenges with the same enthusiasm while supporting them in making pleasing progress. She looks forward to building close bonds with her students, making wonderful memories, and growing together in the coming year.

Valerie Wang

Ms. Valerie Wang completed her Higher Diploma at Yew Chung College of Early Childhood Education and earned her Bachelor of Science in Applied Child Development from The University of Hong Kong. Through her studies and hands-on teaching experience in both local and international kindergartens, she has developed a deep understanding of the unique developmental needs of preschool-aged children.

Ms. Valerie strongly believes that children learn best through play and inquiry-based approaches. Viewing children as natural inquirers who construct their own understanding of the world, she aims to spark their innate curiosity and support their individual passions. She is thrilled to welcome families to Malvern College Pre-School and looks forward to nurturing each child’s learning journey.

Ching Wong

Ms. Ching Wong holds a Higher Diploma in Early Childhood Education from The Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education. She brings over 10 years of experience working with children of varying ages across both local and international kindergartens, including two years at Malvern College Pre-School.

Driven by a passion for nurturing young minds, Ms. Ching deeply appreciates the uniqueness of each individual child. She is delighted to be a part of the Malvern College Pre-School Hong Kong community and eagerly looks forward to getting to know both new and returning families.

Joyce Ma

Senior Administrative Officer (Coronation Circle)

Ms. Joyce Ma serves as the Senior Administrative Officer at the Coronation Circle campus of Malvern College Pre-School, Hong Kong, and also acts as Personal Assistant to the Principals. She joined Malvern College Pre-School in 2020 and takes great pride in being part of such a caring and dedicated school community.

Having worked in education administration since 2005, Ms. Ma has supported a range of higher education establishments across Hong Kong. This background has equipped her with strong organisational skills, sharp attention to detail, and a clear understanding of how effective administration contributes to a high-quality educational environment.

She is enthusiastic about contributing her skills and expertise to the Pre-School community, taking pride in completing all tasks efficiently, accurately, and to a high standard.

As a new academic year begins, Ms. Ma looks forward to reconnecting with returning pupils and families while warmly welcoming new members to the community. She considers it a privilege to be part of the Malvern team and is always happy to assist families in any way she can.

Rhiannon Ip

Administrative Officer (Coronation Circle)

Ms. Rhiannon Ip has been an integral member of the Malvern College Pre-School team since 2017 as a founding staff member, taking great pride in contributing to the school’s growth and daily operations from its inception. With over 20 years of administrative experience across a variety of industries, her background includes working closely with senior leadership to support strategic planning, coordination, and implementation.

At MCPS, Ms. Rhiannon supports the leadership team, the Senior Administrative Officer, and the wider school community to maintain smooth and efficient daily operations. Serving as a key point of contact for parents and external organizations, she is committed to clear communication and building positive relationships to nurture a supportive environment for staff, parents, and pupils.
