Our activity-based Science Workshops follow constructivist theories, with carefully chosen topics and activities tailored to children’s cognitive levels. Continuously revised for over 20 years, our curriculum uses everyday items to demonstrate that Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics surround us in daily life. Science Workshop is excited to share their passion for STEM with our pupils, fostering learning, growth, and solid foundations for their primary education.

Our Program

Curriculum

• Our science curriculum, based on AAAS Benchmarks for Science Literacy and NRC’s Science Education Standards, emphasizes active learning through hands-on activities and inquiry. This approach develops observation, inference, and experimentation skills, combining scientific knowledge with reasoning and thinking.
• Our mathematics curriculum follows the University of Chicago School Mathematics Project Everyday Mathematics Goals and NCTM Standards. We present abstract theories concretely, relating concepts to everyday life. Instead of focusing on calculation mechanics, we help learners gain knowledge and confidence to actively reason and represent mathematical ideas and relationships.

Tour of Science Jr. (26th June – 30th June)

Domains: Life Science (includes Human Biology), Chemistry, Physics, Earth Science, and Space Science

Explore Saturn’s rings, planetary movements, and Jupiter’s lightning. Investigate water, air, energy, forces, and motion. Combine hot science and cool ideas for amazing reactions. Learn how your experiences shape your perceptions. Embark on a journey of scientific fun through discovery, invention, and experimentation.

Bubbly Oozy Chemistry (3rd July – 7th July)

Domains: Chemistry and Physics

Can you make roses blue and violets red? See how chemistry can change their colors too! Predict, watch, feel, smell and listen to the reactions. Make things change, swirl, (in)visible, and colorful! Create an ocean in a bottle. Feel all of matter’s ebb and flow. Life is much more than a bubble!

Engineers Convention (17th July – 21st July)

Domain: Physics and Engineering

What goes on when a hot air balloon is in lighter-than-air flight. Discover the secrets of flight and travel! Get ready for an uplifting experience flying planes and helicopters. Investigate the workings of racers, boats and trains. Erect walls, bridges, towers and castles. Can you save Humpty Dumpty from his fall? One thing is for sure, engineers never get bored!
